The Defence Attaché of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in the Kingdom of Thailand, Air Commodore Vajira Jayakody, paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Tawatchai Tangpitakkul, Deputy Chief of Staff (Intelligence) of the Royal Thai Army, at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters on 7 May 2026.
During the cordial meeting, both sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and reaffirmed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the armed forces of Sri Lanka and Thailand. Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral defence relations through enhanced military-to-military engagement, professional exchanges, and cooperation in areas of shared interest.
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of Sri Lanka and Thailand to further advancing defence diplomacy and fostering closer military cooperation and mutual understanding.
