A delegation from the Sri Lanka Army Logistic Staff School, led by Brigadier Sudeera Jayasinghe, Commandant of the School, visited the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Bangkok on 18 May 2026 as part of the School's first official overseas study tour to Thailand.
The delegation was welcomed by Ambassador and Permanent Representative H.E. Wijayanthi Edirisinghe, who noted that the visit reflects the growing defence cooperation and longstanding friendship between Sri Lanka and Thailand. The official programme, coordinated by the Defence Attaché of Sri Lanka in Bangkok, Air Commodore Vajira Jayakody, included visits to the Royal Thai Army School of Logistics, the Defence Technology Institute, the Royal Thai Navy Ordnance Department, and the Asian Disaster Preparedness Center.
The visit enhanced professional military engagement, promoted knowledge exchange, and further strengthened bilateral defence cooperation between Sri Lanka and Thailand.
